My Name

"ZachtAardig" means "Gently" in Dutch.
ZachtAardig likes natrural fibres like wool, cotton, hennep and silk.
These are the basis materials for the hand made carpets, rugs, wallhangings, cushions, and scarfes etc.
I use the wool directly from the sheep in my area, like the north of Holland.
I work with the wool of  more than twenty several sheepraces, and I am always looking for new fibres to make my own creations.  I add natural biological olive soap in all my felt items.
Some of my wool-items is looking like fur, but that's not !   Its just FELT !
